Marleen DT - Hearts & Flowers

Morning my blogger friends..

Its time for my last post of the month for

This month we, the DT are using all the love themed downloads.
You can find them all in the STORE...

For today, Ive used the download called: "Hearts & Flowers"

Here is what Ive made:

For this week I made a couple of little gift boxes.
My daughter asked me to make her 2 small boxes as part of a birthday present for her friend. I have to be honest, purple is my least favorite colour but when my daughter saw the papers she was adament the that was the ones she wanted.
The boxes are made using a memory keeper gift box board so no magic in that lol.
All the embelishments (bar the button and string) are from the kit so all I did was cut them out and layer them up.
Finished with the buttons and strings and voila..

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for and for any comments left behind

Today I have made a card using the I Heart You download:

I have paper pieced one of the digis included in the download, printed the sentiment and layered up the card. I'm really pleased with the result, hope you enjoy it too.

I'm keeping it short and sweet so you have plenty of time to head on over to Funky Hand in time to buy all the fabulous love-themed downloads available for the special price of £1.00.

I hope you have enjoyed our showcase thus far and I am really looking forward to sharing more projects as we move into the month of March.

See you all soon

Huge Funky Love

Hi, it's Kathy here with a card to share today.

This time I've used the "flat" paper designs from a Wordbook Download called "Huge Funky Love" - with this set you get all you need to make a Wordbook, plus the paper designs without the lettery bits to use however you like.

Just to mix things up a bit, I also "borrowed" one paper from the  "Fading Beauty" download set - just because I thought the pale green looked gorgeous with the pinks and browns of the Huge Funky Love ones.
If you're anything like me, you'll probably have a little pile of Funky Hand papers waiting to be used, or perhaps leftovers from other projects and sometimes you can find some very happy combinations just from shuffling that pile around!

Materials and Tools

Funky Hand Downloads: "Huge Funky Love" and
"Fading Beauty"
scrap of darker green Bazzill card
EK Success Border Punch
Aperture cut with a Marianne Heart die
Taylored Expressions Twirly Swirly die
Flowers created using Memory Box "Fabulous Phlox"die set

Small circle punch
Small brown pearls

Remember, all the "Love themed" downloads are currently available at a Special  price of only £1 each only for February, so a great time to stock up on downloads you may have missed.

We'd love to see what you make too.....

Hearts, flowers and butterflies!

Morning all, Tammy here again and its time to share another project for Funky Hand! This one is part of the month long special *Love* download sale where you can get selected downloads for just £1!!

For my card today I used a download called Hearts and Flowers
Rather than make a valentines card I made a general For you card.

I layered up all of the papers on lilac card stock, then added some ribbon with a small butterfly bead. I added a butterfly to the centre which I added a little bling to.

Thats all for today!

Remember to pop by the blog tomorrow for more inspiration

New Home.....

Papers- Huge Funky Love from Funky Hand.
Box card file- Home Sweet Home by Lori Whitlock.

Morning all Lou in with a make for you today!!

I had a new home card to make for my mum's crisis counselor. She has helped my mum such a lot through her depression that I wanted it to be something a bit special so I hit the Funky Hand papers for my favourite download, Huge Funky Love

Don't forget! that all the downloads in the LOVE section of the shop are just £1 in celebration of the season of love!! he he he!! but there are some super downloads in there and they are good for all year round.

The little starry papers are just so pretty. i went for a good old double sided printing session with the pinky ones on one side and the light brown ones on the other side so I could mix and match them around for the different sections of the box.

I used my promarkers to colour up the little house roof and trees an added some ink along the edges of the fence and clouds to make them pop.

Thank you so much for popping in!
hugs Lou xx

Marleen DT - I heart you

Morning my blogger friends..

Time for my second post of the month for

This month we, the DT are using all the love themed downloads.
You can find them all in the STORE...

For today, Ive used the download called "I heart you"

Here is what Ive made:

Those of you who pops by my blog from time to time or follow my FACEBOOK page will know that I have a LOVE for all things vintage.
Now I LOVE these funky designs that Anice, our boss-lady, makes, but I thought that it would be fun to try and mix the 2 styles.
The jar is coloured with Androndiac alcolhol inks and then decorated with the papers from the "I heart you" kit. THe letters are also from the kit, just cut out, pressed into a versamark inkpad and embossed with clear embossing powder.
THe rest was simply just finishing it of with loads of beads on lace, a few flowers and a bow.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for and for any comments left behind

Happy Valentines Day.....

Happy Valentines Day to you all,

It's Debbie here sharing my Valentines card that I've made for my hubby .
I hope he likes it!!!
As you know, most men don't like fussy cards so I dug out my my circle and heart dies and tried to keep the layers to a minimum.

I used the wonderful Funkyhand I love you sew download

How to make my card:
I cut circles out of a piece of white card and matted and layered it onto a grey sheet of card.
Circles and hearts were cut out of the papers and glued down. I also cut out the word love with my new die.
I typed my sentiment onto the papers too.

Remember to share any makes with our Love downloads, we'd love to see them.
Pop back tomorrow for another creation to inspire you.

Thanks for popping by.

Dispensing Sweet Treats for my Love

Hi, it's Kathy here today with another cute little box.
This time I've used papers from the loved-up "I Love You Sew" download

These treat dispenser boxes have been catching my eye - have you spotted them?  There are lots of similar projects around the web - mainly for holding those cute little fruit/herbal tea bags - they have an aperture at the base where you take the next bag from.
But this particular style really appealed - probably because I was intrigued to find out how the "hopper" bit worked.
If you have a look around the web, you'll find instructions and templates for boxes similar to this one that you can make with basic pencil, ruler and scissors - but
as well as being lazy, my brain wasn't geared up to doing anything resembling maths at all - so I was lazy and found one in the Silhouette download shop.

This particular download comes with the box template, plus those for the decorative panels, so I decided to just cut the basic pieces required from red Bazzill card, and use the pretty papers for the panels

I printed the Funky Hand designs I wanted to use onto white matte photo paper.

Materials and Tools
Silhouette machine to cut box shape
MFT DieNamics Nested Hearts die set
Ribbon, Ric-rac braid and Raffia
Large brad

The eagle-eyed among you will spot a "cuckoo in the nest" on the lid of the box - the paper for the I Love You heart actually comes from the "LoveLoveLove" download - I chose this as I liked the red and black text and I think the 2 downloads can work quite well together

So there you go - another cute box to fill up with treats for your loved one - this one will be stuffed full of Maltesers for my Other Half as they are his favourite.
I hope you like it

So then, while inspired by mixing the Love Love Love download with the I Love You Sew one, I thought I'd print a few extras to make a card.  I resized the designs to print quite small so the would look right when used with the heart dies

Materials and Tools
Sentiment is printed directly on to the card
Funky Hand Downloads:  "I Love You Sew" and
"LoveLoveLove"
MFT DieNamics Nested Hearts die set
 Ribbon with Printed Hearts
small silver heart brads, large patterned heart brad brad
Round and heart-shaped red gems
Black card scraps:
the hearts are backed with multiple layers cut with the same dies for lots of dimension

Remember, all the "Love themed" downloads are on a Special Loved-Up price of only £1 each all through February, so a great time to stock up on downloads you may have missed.

We'd love to see what you make too.....

Morning ya all..

Time for a wee post for

This month we, the DT are using all the love themed downloads.
You can find them all in the STORE...

For today, Ive used the download called "I love you sew much"

Here is what Ive made:

To make this card i simply covered my base card with one of the papers from the download.
I then cut the strings of hearts out from one of the other sheets.
The letters come on a sheet in the kit and I simply cut the letters out, pressed them into a versamark inkpad and covered them with clear embossing powder.
I did the same with the butterfly.
I finised by adding crackle glaze to the hearts and adding the metal heart from my stash.

And that is all from me for today.

Love, Love, Love....

Hi all,
It's Debbie here, popping by to share with you a make using 1 of the 5 love themed paper downloads by the lovely Anice.
Wow, haven't the creations been fabulous so far from the talented funkettes.

This is 1 of my favourite collections as it's not just for a love themed project. All of  the Funkyhand digital papercraft downloads always have several sheets that you can use for any occasion, which makes them so versatile.

On Pinterest I saw a card that used jigsaw pieces on a card and remembered that I'd been bought some blank little jigsaw pieces for stamping on a few years ago by my hubby, so I decided to draw around them and cut them out of these yummy papers.

I really enjoyed playing with these papers again. Remember that all these Love downloads papers are available for a special price of £1.

There will be another post tomorrow, so don't miss it.
Hugs Debbie xx

2 Little Birds

Hi, Kathy here today with a cute little box made using
 the "I Heart You" download

I've been meaning to make one of these birdhouse-shaped boxes for ages and what better time than now?
This box opens at the base for adding some little treats - though I think it would need a little bit of tape to make sure it stayed closed.  If I made another I would try and come up with an alternative - maybe make a little door at the back and seal the base up altogether.

I printed the designs I wanted to use onto white Bazzill card. then cut the box pieces one using my Silhouette machine.
When I print onto card I cut the 12x12 sheets down to just under A4 width, which leaves a long narrow cut-off which I don't want to waste, obviously!

One of the great things about Funky Hand downloads is that you can resize the designs - maybe "cut" a little bit off the side, then alter your printer's settings so you can print onto odd sizes of paper or card.  So I print the main pieces on the large sheet, then use the off-cuts to print any smaller pieces I need - I hope that makes sense!

Basically, by doing this, and printing on both sides I only used 1 whole sheet of 12x12, plus an extra off cut length from my box of scraps

Materials and Tools
Silhouette machine to cut box shape
Spellbinders Nesties: plain circle and Lacey circle
EK Success border punch for "tiles" on roof and the gable design

Heart feature at the top of the box is cut from one of the papers
Little birds are hand-cut, as is the door
Perch is just a tightly rolled scrap of paper, glued up then poked through a small hole made with needle tool and bamboo skewer
The birds are attached to the box with cut up pieces of foam tape so they stand away from the box

There you go - a cute idea for a little Lovebirds box to fill up with treats for your own loved one. I hope you like it

I had some leftovers after making the box so I made a scrapling card

Materials and Tools
Scraps of  Funky Hand Download  "I Heart You"
Baker's Twine and Silver thread
Small metal key charm

The big heart is made by covering both sides of a  scrap of card then die-cutting (DieNamics Nesting Hearts)
I then embossed it with a Cuttlebug "Swirls" folder, inked lightly with a silver ink pad, then traced over the swirls with Stickles Ice glitter glue (Crystal Ice)
The tiny punched hearts were shaped with an embossing ball tool then dixed in place with a blob of Glossy Accents

Remember, all the "Love themed" downloads are on a Special Loved-Up price of only £1 each all through February, so a great time to stock up on downloads you may have missed.

We'd love to see what you make too.....
